Thomas E Ziemann is a Master Carver of Pumpkins and Watermelons. He sculpts award-winning pumpkins and watermelons into amazing works of art. Each sculpture he creates is one of a kind. Each piece is meticulously hand-carved, which generally involves 4 to 5 hours of incredibly intricate carving.
For many years, Tom has helped worthwhile charities raise money with his sculptures. Since 1998, his Jack O’ Lanterns and carved watermelons have been filmed by KOIN-TV, featured in the Portland Art Museum, and proudly displayed throughout the Pacific Northwest. During that time his sculptures have raised over $50,000 for many different Portland charities; including the Oregon Special Olympics, Children’s Cancer Association, Mercy Corp, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, The Old Church, (a Portland OR Historical Landmark), and many others. In addition, Tom’s been teaching pumpkin carving classes nationwide for many years.
